Everything is Photo Worthy — Emerald Coast Car Show
For 23 years the Emerald Coast Car Show has been a pilgrimage for automotive enthusiasts to showcase stunning examples of vehicles ranging from the era of the Ford Model T to the Austin-Healey 3000 with more variety expanding all the way up to the latest C7 Corvette. Whatever the era or the make, every vehicle on display was a ravishing example of what it represented.
There was an air of benign affability at this year’s gathering. Ask anyone about their labor of love and you will be greeted with a smile and story of how it came to be.
The owner of this Austin-Healey lit up with joy when complimented on his craftsmanship. After receiving the commendation, a story began to unravel and details that would otherwise go unnoticed were brought to light.
For example, this 351ci small block Ford power plant had been bored out to 390ci.
Also, this is actually a Shelby Cobra chassis with an Austin-Healey body. The details that would otherwise go unnoticed become the real awe factor sometimes.
The Emerald Coast Car Show, held annually, offers a plethora of immaculate machinery and does so while befitting the community. All proceeds from the event go to local charities. This act of generosity not only breeds a positive atmosphere for enthusiasts, but it also builds a great reputation for the sanctioning body thus ensuring that this gathering can continue to flourish.
